Method1:

Scheduling Auto Shutdown event by using the Run command,
Run command is used to run or open applications or file directly whose path is known. Run command is its ability to do almost everything the command line can do It is the quickest way to access tasks and tools in the windows for Auto Shutdown command is shutdown –s –t number, Let us take the example if you want your pc shutdown in 5 mins, The command to be entered is shutdown –s –t 300.
Note: The number in the run command represents the value of seconds.

Method2:

Scheduling Auto Shutdown event by using command prompt,
Command Prompt is used to execute entered commands. Most of those commands are used to automate tasks via scripts and batch files, Command Prompt is officially called Windows Command Processor there are two ways to access Command prompt one is through cmd.exe and another one is via run command CMD. To use the command prompt you would type in the commands and instructions you want and then press enter. In the next section we will discuss some useful commands and how to see all available built in commands for the command prompt
Note: Commands must be entered into Command Prompt exactly.
Let us see how to set Auto Shutdown event by using Command Prompt
Step1:  Open Command prompt via Run command by using keyword CMD
Step2:  Next you can see prompt and Type shutdown –s –t 300

Scheduling Auto Shutdown event by using Windows PowerShell,
PowerShell is a tool which is more powerful than the Command Prompt, it delivers more power and control over the Windows operating system, Windows PowerShell is a shell developed by Microsoft for purposes of task automation and configuration management ,In Windows 10 we can PowerShell Start Menu and Run Command, In a simple words PowerShell is a tool which is used to do script programing in the shell which is closer is very closer to the windows operating system we change and create new commands by using power shell.

Let us see how to set Auto Shutdown event by using PowerShell
Step1: Open PowerShell via Run Command type PowerShell
Step2: you can Blue background PowerShell in that type shutdown –s –t 300 and tap enter

Creating a basic task named shutdown via Task Scheduler,
The Task Scheduler is a software program that allows computer Task to be executed when a pre-determined trigger occurs, Task Scheduler enables you to automatically perform routine tasks on a chosen computer.
Task Scheduler can be used to execute tasks such as starting an application, sending an email message, or showing a message box. Tasks can be scheduled to execute:     
  • When a specific system event occurs.
  • At a specific time.
  • At a specific time on a daily schedule.
  • At a specific time on a weekly schedule.
  • At a specific time on a monthly schedule.
  • At a specific time on a monthly day-of-week schedule.
  • When the computer enters an idle state.
  • When the task is registered.
  • When the system is booted.
                                  
Let us see how to set Auto Shutdown event by using Task Scheduler.
Step1: Open Task Scheduler by using this path
 Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> Task Scheduler.

Step2: Tap Create Basic Task on the right.
Step3: Type Shutdown for the task name and click next

Step4: Choose when the task starts from Daily, Weekly, Monthly, One time, When the computer starts
Step5: Set the time and Click next



Step6: Select start a program and next
Step7: Click on browse button, Open C: Windows/System32 and select the exe file named shutdown and tap ok
Step8: Enter –s as the argument and click  Next.
Step9: Click Finish to complete the task
